Wesley Guntharp, Principal
President at Texas Commercial Diving. Wes began his career as a welder/fabricator before becoming a professional hard hat diver and is one of the few welder/divers to be qualified to weld underwater groove welds in the world. He has worked on over two hundred thruster projects and has been the Project Manager on 20+ Drill Rig/Ship azimuthing thruster replacements.
Randy Gagnon, Principal
Co-Founder/CEO at Texas Commercial Diving. Randy is the third generation of his family in the maritime/shipbuilding industry. Randy began his career as a topside welder/fabricator. After acquiring the topside skill set, he found a specific interest with commercial diving. Within his 20 years of being a commercial diver, he has become one of the few skilled proficient welder/divers/project managers for the ship husbandry industry. As a Project Manager, He has led over two hundred ship husbandry projects globally consisting of underwater shaft seal replacements with habitat, cofferdam installation for permanent shell plate weld repairs and 20+ drill rig/ship azimuth thruster replacements.
The Principals at Texas Commercial Diving have worked together for over 20 years performing high profile projects to name a few, shell plate repairs outside/inside the hull with the vessels afloat (One of many shell plate repair methods utilizes cofferdam backing), rudder wet weld repairs and replacements, and thruster replacements afloat (tunnel and azimuth). They are proud business owners to one of the niched skilled set companies the industry knows, but what they are most proud of are their families that support them in the midst of chasing their dreams.
